New Years Eve 2013 Drinking Red Wine

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve! (I know I’m a bit late, but I barely had Internet access across the pond.) Mine was so much fun, and even though I was so tired from going out every single day since I arrived Santo Domingo, my reserve battery (which I thought I had lost several years ago) kicked in and I had so much energy. The evening started with dinner with Pamela’s family. We at Sancocho, a typical Dominican dish which basically is a soup made out of different kinds of meat, vegetables and broth, served with rice and avocado. Sounds simple, but oh so good! And of course, accompanied with several glasses of champagne and some red wine. And then out to have some more (champagne that is), and inventing silly dances, at the bar “La Chismosa”. What a great way to start 2013, and even more since the first day of 2013 we went to the beach. Aaaah, life… You rock.

Yesterday I came back to Spain, and although I was prepared for a small post-vacation depression, I am filled with so much energy (despite the horrible jet lag). Tomorrow I’m starting my internship and I’m so excited! Dear Alarm-that-will-go-off-at-6:30-AM: bring it on!! Apart from that I’m feeling so inspired to work on the blog, and I have some ideas that I can’t wait to start working on. ;-)
